This past summer, the M’Guphynn Media team had the pleasure of filming in the city of Calgary on a very exciting new project. We are proud to present the Teaser Trailer for MILES BEHIND: A Spider-Man Fan Film.
Our group has made fan films before but this is our first as M’Guphynn Media, and our first project outside of Fort McMurray that’s not a cosplay music video.
We pride ourselves on championing our own community. MILES BEHIND is led by Fort McMurray filmmaking talent and features artwork by Fort McMurray artist Rob Hickey. Spider-Man is a character synonymous with New York City and fortunately, we live in Alberta, Canada. A province that is known to have very diverse location options and a wealth of diverse talent to complement this. The number of Hollywood productions filmed here recently is a testament to this.
Here’s the official synopsis and cast:
Miles Morales (Eb Mensah) is still trying to find his footing and voice as the new Spider-Man of New York City, while also keeping up with his regular life as a student and son of New York Police Officer Jefferson Davis (Charles Payne). An attempted mugging becomes a defining moment for Miles and his father as Spider-Man comes between the New York City Police and Peter (Ralphy Miracle), a young man tired of being marginalized and stepped on.
